Makes you Laugh but How Dangerous it is ....

Beware Of Fraud In Petrol Bunk In Bangalore

I would like to bring to your kind attention the “Great Indian Petrol Pump Fraud” happening all over Bangalore (and I believe all over India).
Today in the morning, I saw the fuel gauge of my car touching the “Empty” sign, so I thought that while on my way to office, I will fill petrol worth 1000 Rs in my car. When I reached the petrol pump at 9:30 Am today(24th April 2008)(BP petrol pump near Richmond road) I showed the crisp 1000 Rs note to the attendant at the petrol pump and told him to fill 1000 Rs. I repeated 1000 to him 2-3 times so that he registers 1000 Rs in his head fill the petrol for 1000 Rs. I repeatedly told him because of the past experience whenever I had asked him to fill petrol worth 1000 bucks at different gas stations(i.e. for eg. at Advaitha Gas station, near udapi garden BTM to name one of them),the attendant always filled 200 rs of petrol and said “Sir your 200 rs of petrol is filled” . I used to say I asked you fill 1000 Rs of petrol not 200 worth. He would look at me like an innocent kid and would start filling the remaining 800 Rs of petrol.
But this procedure of 200+800 didn’t stop at one petrol pump but gas attendants at all the petrol pumps followed this weird ritual. I could sense something fishy but not before losing money to this procedure 3-4 times. So coming back to Today’s incident I asked the “Honest” petrol pump attendant to fill the petrol,While filling the petrol my attention was diverted towards the pollution check centre at the same petrol pump but when I looked back at the meter indicator, I was shocked to see the familiar “200″ mark at the petrol pump meter. I told him again why didn’t you fill for 1000 Rs. He said that he heard 200 Rs. So I told him to fill 800 Rs of petrol also. After he had filled the petrol, I got in the car and started towards my office. While on my way to office, I observed the fuel gauge in my car. It had moved from
“Empty” first to half and then little further. But from my past experience that when I used to get 1000 rs of fuel filled in the empty fuel tank, It used to come to certain level but today it hadn’t come till there. So I thought SHOOT….I got duped again.
After reaching office I checked the Internet for same Frauds which had happened before my case. I was shocked to find that many other people also faced the same problem of 200+800 and some bikes of 40+60 bucks (these petrol pump attendants don’t leave anybody).I spoke to my boss and a colleague of mine at office they told me of the same incident. I was like … this problem is not only with me but with people all over Bangalore. Basically people all over Bangalore (maybe all over India) are getting cheated in this ingenious fraud which is promoted by our friendly neighbour hood petrol pump owners and their honchos gas attendants.
The ingenious technique these people follow is discussed below in italics
When asked for diesel worth Rs. 500. The attendant filled up only Rs. 100. noticing that I told him to fill for Rs. 500 but by that time he is done with 100 so the attender said he will fill up for remaining Rs.400…that is when he did a trick of as though he is resetting by playing games of hurry burry and continuing to fill and when he is done for Rs. 400 he asked for 500 (100+400) but in reality he only filed for 100+300 as he is not really reset the machine to zero even though it appears as he reset it.
So after reading the messages on the website I went back to the petrol pump ,parked my car in middle of the petrol pump called the attendant and told him that you have cheated me of 200 rs of petrol instead of filling petrol worth of 1000 Rs you have filled the petrol worth only 800 rs ,I told him I am going to sue your petrol pump and I want to write a complaint against the same .He got frightened said “Sorry Sir By mistake i have not reset 200 rs”. He didn’t ask me any more questions and directly filled 200 Rs of petrol.
I wonder that BP, IOC, HP talk about going in losses and hence they ask govt. to increase the price of diesel and petrol but in reality petrol pump owners are helping us save lots of oil by asking us to pay 1000 rs but giving us petrol worth 800. What a brilliant way to conserve oil and make profit for petrol pump owners. I guess people should know about the ingenious way in which petrol pumps owners helps us. (Pardon me for the sarcasm) :-)

What to do when you are trapped in a lift ???

We never know when and where accidents will happen to us OR people around us. Read on and hope this piece of information may help any of us when things do happen to yourself, our friends and our loved ones.
One day, while in a lift, it suddenly broke down and it was falling from level 13 at a fast speed. Fortunately, I remembered watching a TV program that taught you must quickly press all the buttons for all the levels.
Finally, the lift stopped at the 5th level.
When you are facing life and death situations, whatever decisions or actions you make decides your survival.
If you are caught in a lift breakdown, first thought in mind may be 'waiting to die'...
But after reading below, things will definitely be different the next time you are caught in a lift.
First - Quickly press all the different levels of buttons in the lift.
When the emergency electricity supply is being activated, it will stop the lift from falling further.
Second - Hold on tight to the handle (if there is any).. It is to support your position and prevent you from falling or getting hurt when you lost your balance.
Third - Lean your back and head against the wall forming a straight line.
Leaning against the wall is to use it as a support for your back/spine as protection.
Fourth - Bend your knees
Ligament is a flexible, connective tissue. Thus, the impact of fractured bones will be minimised during fall.
For everyone, kindly do share this piece of information with your near and dear ones

Recieved by mail from my friend.

Today, while going to my office at Outer Ring Road (Ecospace), I had halted my vehicle outside the Symphony Co(near to New Horizon Engineering College) to attend to a mobile call. After about 3 minutes on the side of the road, one stout fellow in a bike came and slightly banged by stationary vehicle on my rear passenger door (RHS). He further asked me to come out of the vehicle. When I refused, he started banging on my vehicle with his hand and his blue helmet. He even tried to break my front RHS window and also tried to open the door. He could neither break the glass nor open the door since I had the security system on, which had securely closed all the doors. Sensing danger as this seemed to be stage managed, I immediately started the vehicle and proceeded further to my office which was just around 2 to 2.5 kms away.
When I was nearing Ecospace, another white Tata Indica (private taxi) came and stopped ahead of my vehicle. The driver came out (totally different person) and asked me to come out. I refused and asked him to go to the police station and complain if I had done any offence. He once again tried to break my RHS window and also tried to open the door, where he again failed (once again due to the security system in the car). He tried to pick up a stone, but could not find any other on the road. I immediately backed my car and overtook him and took a u-turn after just 150 metres into the service road and entered our office campus. During all the commotion, I could not note down the vehicle registration number.
Later on, I had lodged a complaint at the HAL Police Station along with our office Admin dept. The cops showed me one photo of a stout person, who seemed to resemble the stout person who had 1st appeared near the New Horizon College. The cops informed me that this is a known rowdy and he operates in Outer Ring Road after Marathahalli and that it was really my good luck that I had not got out of the vehicle and that the doors were securely locked, else I could have become one more victim who are made to go to ATM centers to withdraw money.

Common mistake in any household.

This could be a common mistake in any household.

This is shocking accident happened on 13th May 2012 in Pune. This may be a good,
useful lesson in safety for all of us.

A housewife died due to burns sustained in the kitchen. Her husband too was hospitalized for injuries due to burns while trying to rescue his wife.    How it happened?:-   The gas stove was on and cooking under process. The lady observed some cockroaches near the sink and grabbed a can of insect killer and sprayed it near the gas stove, which was on. There was an explosion and in no time the poor woman was covered in flames, sustaining 65% burns. Her husband rushed in, tried to douse the flames and his clothes too caught fire. The husband is still in hospital, in the burns ward, still unaware that his wife was declared dead on arrival.

Let us understand:-   All insect killer sprays such as "Hit", "Mortein" etc. have highly volatile and inflammable solvents.  The atomized nano spray particles spread extremely rapidly and one spark is enough to ignite this explosive mixture with oxygen present in air. Did the poor lady realize the hazard involved? Apparently not!

Please educate your family about this and spread the word around.... who knows you may save more than a life....

Be aware while hiring Taxi.

I want to share a very bad exprience of mine with taxi driver .As i wanted to go to Ooty along with my family .So we have hired a taxi .We had fixed a price of 6.25 Rs per KM and 150 Rs per day allowance for 2 days.
This taxi driver told me that he have to pay Tamilnadu city entrance tax of 550 Rs.We have reached to Tax Naka on the way for Tamilnadu.I told to driver that i will come with you to pay entry tax.then he have told me that it is 550 rs .He also told me that if i come with him then Tax officer will charge more.I got some doubt and forcefully i went along with him to pay tax.when i ask for tax fee then the officer told me that it is 350 Rs.I got shocked that taxi driver have lied me.This taxi driver was not feeling shame and on the above he was telling that why i havnt paid him 200 rs more for tax.

After paying tax, we moved towards ooty.this guy a hahve taken us from long route to ooty to make his meter up.
On the way ,we have stopped the car near a side seen point and we have spent there 30 mins.During journey i was keep on tracing his Meter. So while comming back to taxi ,i again checked meter and shocked to see that it was showing 60 Km more than my previous reading of meter(this rascal have changed the meter reading as these peple have trick to change meter reading manuallly). I told him that about his faulty meter and he fought with me and told it is correct.
I had no options to do anything against him that point of time .So i just agreed about the meter reading with him. This taxi driver have taken more than 50% amount from me to fill petrol. While comming from ooty,he has stopped the car near a petrol bunk and again asked me to pay rest of money.I told himw that i will pay him rest of money once i reach to my destination(bangalore). That Rascal was fighting with me and abusing me in his language. Even he was trying to phyiscally fighting with me.Some how, my brother and my father stopped me and we had paid him money before reaching to bangalore. We paid him money becoz we were with whole family so we dinn't want to make suffer to other memebers of family. At last we have reached to banglore and this Rascal have again asked me to pay 150 Rs allowance per day for 4 days which made me shocked again as we have spent only 2 days in travelling. He have told me that 150 rs for 12 hrs each as we have fixed the prive of 150 per day.I again fought with him about this.As i ended with paying him whole money as this Rascal was knowing my home address in bangalore and i didnt want him to come to my home in my absence. As these taxi drivers always come in group and fight with you.Same case for Auto drivers in bangalore also.

So friends please beware from this kind of rascal taxi drivers. So always take taxi from Travel agency so that you can tell them about this cheating .

As being a middle calss people we can not make these Rascals as our enemy ,they can harm our family in our absence.
